Frequently asked questions

Does GLAMR take commission on my bookings?

No. No commission is taken by GLAMR. Your deposit goes straight to your own payment account. Customers pay a flat £2 booking fee to GLAMR, which is separate from your money.

When does the customer actually pay?

With approval required, the customer's card is only authorised (held) when they request a booking — it's charged when you accept, and released in full if you decline or don't respond within 7 days. With auto-approve, they're charged immediately on booking.

Can I build my profile before paying?

Yes — preview mode is free with no time limit. You only start paying when you choose to go live and become bookable.

Why do I need to connect a payment account?

So customer deposits have a verified destination that belongs to you. GLAMR never holds appointment money, which keeps you in control and keeps every payment traceable if there's ever a dispute.

What happens if I decline a booking?

The customer is notified automatically and their card hold is released in full — they're never charged for a booking you decline.

Can two customers book the same slot?

No. Availability is checked against each team member's diary, working hours and breaks at the moment of booking, and the system rejects clashes — even if two customers try the same slot at the same moment.

How do I add or remove a team member?

From your team settings. Adding a member sends them an invite and adds £9.99 a month to your subscription. On the day you add them you pay only for the days left in your current billing cycle, so your monthly payments stay on the same date. Removing them reduces your next bill. Each member gets their own login and diary.

How do patch tests work?

Mark any service as requiring a patch test and set a notice period (24 hours to 7 days, default 48). Customers must confirm they understand before booking, and can't book inside the notice window.

What if a customer disputes a charge?

Download the evidence pack from the booking in your diary — it contains the booking details, card metadata, IP/device information and the terms accepted, written to answer what banks ask for.

Can I offer my customers a discount?

Yes — from the Customers tab you can send a percentage-off offer to one customer or your whole list. You set the amount, expiry and number of uses; it's applied automatically when they next book and pay online. The discount comes off your price, so it's funded by you.

I'm on the free first month — can I cancel before being charged?

Yes. Cancel any time before month two and you won't be charged. Your studio stays live until the free month ends, and no payment is taken after that.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel at any time from your account. Access continues until the end of the month you've paid for, and nothing renews after that. Payments already made aren't refunded, so cancel before your next billing date.
